Know exactly what you’re signing up for.
Straight answers about the product, pricing and how Starter fits around your onboarding process.
How charging works
A Starter is one accepted hire whose onboarding becomes active. You can create and send the job offer from Starter without using a Starter. If the candidate declines, you pay nothing. When they accept, one Starter activates.
Nothing is charged. Sending the offer is part of the workflow, but the Starter is only used when the candidate accepts.
No. Plans differ by onboarding volume. The core product is the same whether you buy a single Starter, a pack, or a subscription.
Pricing is available in GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, NZD and SGD. Prices are intentionally rounded for each market rather than changing every day with foreign exchange rates.
How onboarding works
Yes. The journey starts with the job offer. You send it from Starter, the candidate accepts, and the rest of their onboarding then becomes active.
Yes. Upload the contract you already use, then map the parts that should change for each hire. Starter personalises the working copy and supports the signing journey.
The onboarding framework supports work authorisation, criminal record checks, references, qualifications/licences and custom checks for evidence or requirements specific to your organisation.
No. Handbooks and policies are optional. Use them if they are part of your employee onboarding process; leave them out if they are not.
Joining details are the practical information you choose to collect before Day One. The goal is a country-neutral, configurable experience rather than forcing every employer through the same local payroll or tax form.
Country-neutral by design
Yes. Starter is designed around a country-neutral onboarding framework. Employers decide the checks, documents and joining information appropriate for their business, role and location.
No. Starter provides onboarding workflow and document tools rather than local legal advice. Employers remain responsible for determining the employment, immigration, tax and other requirements that apply to them.
Yes. Custom checks can be used for role-specific evidence such as professional licences, certificates, permits or training records.
What the new hire sees
Because the period after a candidate says yes is already part of their employee experience. Clear communication and visible next steps make the organisation feel prepared for their arrival instead of leaving them wondering what is happening.
It should do the opposite. Starter handles the repetitive administrative movement so managers can focus their attention on the human parts of welcoming somebody into the team.
